Accuracy first

• Prices, tariffs, laws and subsidy rules are taken from official bodies (ERSE, DGEG, E-REDES, Fundo Ambiental, Diário da República) or reputable Portuguese publications, and every guide lists its sources and the date we checked them.
• Manufacturer specifications are described as manufacturer claims.
• We do not invent tests, measurements or experiences. First-hand experience is labelled as such.

Use of AI

We use AI tools to monitor news sources, summarise research and produce first drafts. Automated checks block drafts without sources, with unsourced claims of testing or with duplicate content, and an editor reviews every guide before it is published.

Independence

Affiliate partnerships never decide what we recommend or how we rank products. We don't accept payment for positive coverage; sponsored content, if we ever publish it, will be clearly labelled.

Updates and corrections

Energy prices and rules change. We review key guides at least twice a year and whenever ERSE or the government changes something important. Corrections are made promptly and significant ones are noted on the page.
